Are you still being short-changed by astrology?
Or have you discovered what intelligent astrology can reveal? – about you, and those you care about, or even those who ‘push your buttons’?
I would like to correct a misperception about Astrology, and, since I can’t speak for all astrologers out there, I’ll also reveal what astrology tells me about ‘people’.
Some people think that astrology looks at people as “one simple personality that can be described by just one of 12 different patterns, usually referred to as ‘star signs’.” Put simply, that every person is one of 12 “types”.
This seems to be a common impression that people have about astrology.
In fact, it is (1) inaccurate, and (2) at best only 2 cents in the dollar of what astrology can show us.
If you’re like most people, you hate to be ‘pigeon-holed’. – You hate to be thrown into one of a few general categories. You want to be seen and treated as an individual.
Even if you are a Pisces, or a Leo, or a Gemini.
And you hate to be short-changed.
The way that Frith and I use astrology and the astrological model, we see people as many-faceted personalities.
For example…
Have you ever felt indecisive, unsure about what you really want to do next? – That’s often because you have different ‘sub-personalities’ or drives inside of you that want different things. And these drives are competing with one another.
So, part of you wants to read this short article
… while another part wants to go sky-diving. But you have to invest another minute or so to finish this article first, and then figure out the sky-diving bit.
So I look at your horoscope and see the different personalities, and while I’m listening to your story I’m working on the puzzle of how you can best combine all of these different drives at the same time so that you can read this article on the way to the sky-dive with your friends while making a documentary about it all.
You see, you are so individual that someone exactly like you has never existed before nor will ever exist again.
And your horoscope allows me to explore that uniqueness with you in an astrology session – so that you can work out how to have the most fulfilling life possible.
What I see in a person is at least 10 different kinds of drives or motivations. The 10 ‘planets’ plus other important parts of the horoscope are just symbols of these drives. I see whether these drives clash or compete with each other or whether they work together to produce in you the likelihood of unusual talent.
Talents you may not fully recognise in yourself as being special. Talents you may not have put in words, defined, marketed, or used to give direction to your life.
Sorry, but I don’t have a lot of time for the 60-word ‘daily horoscope’. It’s like being satisfied with two cents when you could have a dollar.
